LE CCOPERATIVE SOCIALI, IL MONDO NO-PROFIT SUL TERRITORIO TOSCANO

Il mondo del no profit è una realtà eterogenea suddivisa, per motivazioni, modalità di organizzazione e settori di impiego, in:
• Associazioni di Volontariato
• Associazioni di Promozione Sociale
• Cooperative Sociali e Consorzi
Queste tre realtà sono normate dalla Regione Toscana e inserite in albi regionali organizzati in sezioni provinciali.

La legge 381 del 1991 disciplina il settore delle cooperative sociali definendole come organismi senza scopo di lucro gestori di servizi per l'inserimento di persone svantaggiate.

L'articolo 1 della 381/91 definisce lo scopo delle cooperative sociali: "perseguire l'interesse generale della comunità alla promozione umana e all'integrazione sociale dei cittadini".

La loro gestione è, quindi, riservata ai servizi socio-sanitari o educativi e allo svolgimento di attività diverse - agricole, industriali, commerciali o di servizi - finalizzate all'inserimento lavorativo di persone svantaggiate.
Le Cooperative Sociali sono suddivise in tre categorie:

Sezione A, gestiscono servizi socio sanitari e educativi
Sezione B, svolgono attività agricole, artigianali, industriali, commerciali e di servizi finalizzate all'inserimento lavorativo di persone svantaggiate
Sezione C, Consorzi di cooperative.
